Week of April 20-26: This week will focus on Unit 11 "Intelligence." Your work due on 4/26 will be the second half of the Unit guide from last week. Unit 11 starts at the bottom of page 5 of that document. It is posted on my Google Class. The second assignment is the review of Unit 1. You will also find that on my website. It consists of a video created by the College Board and a worksheet that follow it. The worksheet is on my Google Class and the link to the video is on the worksheet. Dont forget that all these assignments for in the Exam Category in the grade book. On this site you will find my lectures video links and others things that may be helpful for you. Again, never ever hesitate to contact me. My office hours are Tues at noon. I hope all of you are doing well. I miss seeing you all.

Week April 13-19: We will continue with unit 10-Personality. The modules, unit guide and first PowerPoint are below under March 31st. Your assignment due 4/19 is the Unit guide for unit 10 (this is found on my Google Classroom. The document also has unit 11. It should already be loaded onto your Google account.) You only need to do unit 10 for this week. To do this you may use the text or PowerPoints I included. I will also have supplemental materials as well. We will start slow and first until we figure out any glitches. Below the first row is Freud, the second row is Social and Cognitive theory. Take care of your selves and be well.

April 6th: News from the College Board about the AP exam.
1) Test is moved back to Tues. May 19th at 11 AM rather than the original date of 5/12.
2) The test will have 2 FRQ questions. The test will be a total of 45 min.

4) This will be done over a secured website. There may be a paper copy available to some but no specific word on this.

April 5th: Here is a interesting and funny video about a man and his best friend a goose. This deals with the psychology concept of "imprinting" which we covered in Module 48 in our Developmental unit. The researcher Konrad Lorenz the also explored this same concept using ducks. Check it out in your text!

April 2nd: Heard news today that the College Board is going to let teachers know exactly what each subject exam will look like in May. What I do know is that it will be online or you can request a paper copy. Also it will be WAY shorter! That is a good thing. I will let you know as soon as I know.

March 22nd: I will not be posting any class things during what would have been Spring Break. I will come back to the site on the 30th or 31st. The district is working on plans for all of us to keep classes informed online so credit can still be earned and so on. When I know more I will let you know. Check out your College Board account soon. If you have not heard, you will be able to take your AP tests at home by computer or paper. Great news! They will also be getting free review materials that cover every unit up to this point. Also great news! I will keep you posted as new information comes to light. Thur 10/3 & Fri 10/4: We worked on finishing the Research Proposal. Then we did an ethics "knockout" bracket. Groups were assigned an ethically questionable. Groups did a quick research and made a small PowerPoint to explain to the class what it was and why the experiment deserves to be the most unethical of all time.

Thur 9/12 & Fri 9/13: In class we looked at Andrea Yates and Ethan Couch as case studies in using each of the psychological approaches we looked at last class. Below in the PowerPoint are video clips about each case to give you background information. In your notes make note of details that will help you assess the situation as a psychologist would (background, medications, past issues with mental illness etc..) For the reading on Yates, answer the questions and fill out the chart on the approaches at the end. See me for any questions or a hard copy of the reading.
